A bounty is a monetary reward offered by a group or individual, often a law enforcement organization, for the capture or retrieval of a person. According to legal precedent, a bounty cannot be placed on artificial lifeforms.
bounty may also refer to:
- Bounty hunter, a private citizen with the authority to capture fugitives for a monetary reward given by a law enforcement organization.
- Bounty head, a criminal wanted by a law enforcement organization willing to pay a monetary reward for his or her capture.
- Missed bounty, the event of a bounty hunter (in this case members of the Bebop) failing to collect on a pursued bounty.
